CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

Contract and commercial administrative advice and implementation.

Axiom were appointed by the concessionaire of a new toll bridge. Project build cost of US$1.5 Billion. We provided a full time commercial team including Engineer / Planner, Quantity Surveyor and also specialist dispute & claims expertise for the bulk of the construction period. Our scope included a mix of strategic advice, risk management, dispute avoidance and robust contract administration.

Our service provision highpoints included the early settlement of the major project risks and implementation of a more flexible form of contract on the package contracts awarded after our appointment.

Our appointment was unusual in that a fully government owned SPV decided to leverage private sector claims / risk expertise. Our appointment was after a competitive submission of both technical and financial details.
 
The relationship between Axiom and our client is based upon transparency, trust and mutual respect (backed by exhaustive and prescriptive KPI’s) and has yielded several real successes.

The project completed early in 2014 with minimal residual commercial issues, well within the project budget.
